"AL" has been published online.

"AL" s now available downloading. That begs the question of "What will the next book be?" I don't know its name yet, but I've decided on the story line. It takes up right where "ERIK" left off with the team and their family at Rene's dude ranch They meet some new friends there. When they get the news of a tornado striking their new friends hometown in North Dakota, the team springs into immediate action. Be there when TG makes a life-changing discovery. The new friends get into a dispute. The pet guest in this book, as yet unknown, saves a life. I will go out on a limb here, but I will set a goal of February 1, 2013 to have it ready for your free download.

Probably in the book after that one, I'll incorporate the First Response Team of America into at least one book. I look forward to learning even more about them.

I found some "oops" that have been corrected in version 2. If your version 1 has some "Bob" words in it, they have now been replaced with "Karl". That's what happens when Robert's name was changed to Karl and I forgot to change the Bob names, too. I also made some minor changes for a better flow here and there. Thanks for reading.

What? You never communicated online with a dog before? Where have you been, with your head in a dog food bag or what? Anyone can comment here. This is a place where humans can talk about their dogs. And if you have learned from the ERIK book how to mentally communicate with your dog, you can do the typing for your dog and post her/his thoughts here, too.

I am waiting. Let me hear from you.

The book that started it all.

TG was the most incredible 4-footed friend that I have ever met. She taught me to communicate on a mental level with her. You may call me a dog whisperer and I will agree as that is what I can do. But to me that has become a title reserved for a very special person on TV. So you will not see me use that label. Although TG has been gone in body since 2005, she will always live on in my heart. The books after TG the Teriffic are a way for me to fanaticize on what our lives together might have been had we trained for many years on the skills needed for Search and Recovery work.

TG the Teriffic started it all - the writing of additional books, that is. I hope you read that book as it will give you a better insight into her capabilities. If you do not read it, you could easily dismiss my Search and Rescue series as pure fiction, saying that no dog could ever do that. And, unfortunately, you would be wrong. TG could do that.

What or Who is a Featured Guest?

I am looking for some outstanding animals to feature in a future TG Search and Rescue book. My grandson's Australian Cattle Dog, Spy, was a featured guest in ERIK. His mother's horse, Gambler was mentioned, but not "seen" there. Gambler will show up in a future book (see my blog at "The next book"), but whether he will be the featured guest or not has not been determined. The idea here is that while TG is the main character in each book, there is an opportunity for other animals to be featured as well.

Tell me about your special 4-legged friend. You can either add a comment here, or email me directly at tgsbook-author@yahoo.com with your suggestions. Dog, cat, horse, rabbit, etc. - there are no rules. If I choose your friend, I can work her/him into a story. DO NOT TEMPT ME WITH GIFTS. I am looking for special friends with special characteristics. If you really don't know what to do with your money, make a donation to H.O.P.E. Safehouse, but do not tell me about it and I've asked them not to tell me either. I have a link on my link-page for you to find them.

New Book(s) in various stages of completion

At the moment, I have two books in the planning stage.

"AL" is definitely going to be the next book. It takes place in 2009 in Marinette county, Wisconsin. Al is 75 years old and was named after his father's boss, Al Capone. Capone may have buried a very large amount of cash at a place known only to him. In his final years, when Capone was hospitalized with dementia, he told little Al and his father where it was buried. Al's father was never able to find it and assumed that it did not exist. But now, with modern searching tools, Al wanted to try again. Oh, did I say "searching"? I wonder if TG will somehow get involved? Well it is now May 19th and I'm within 20 handwritten pages of finishing the book. Next comes typing it into the computer and lots of editing. Look for "AL" by August - maybe. Stay tuned.

Another book takes place right after the end of "ERIK". It begins at Skip's daughter's dude ranch at Lake Tahoe where the family is vacationing. A natural disaster, probably a tornado, levels a community and TG wants to help find the survivors. Stay tuned.

Two more are in the planning stage, too.

Welcome to my new website. This is where you can ask anything you wish about me or my books. There are two books as of now, but my hope is that there will be another one every 4-6 months.
